Hola mi amigos, we are taking a sensory trip to beautiful Brazilia! In honour of the World cup’s host nation (let’s not mention England), and for all you footie fans/beach babes who would love to be there, I am offering a taste of the exotic land which represents all its vitality. We all know Brazil focuses on the aesthetic (blame the bikini wax from Copacabana beach), and this means a nutritious lifestyle is weaved throughout society. Brazil is blessed with copious amounts of fresh and delicious foodstuffs, such as papaya, acai, mango etc, and this has resulted in refreshing juices and smoothies being a staple in the Brazilian diet… That’s why they all look so darn good! A favourite? The fructose-friendly avocado smoothie.
This smoothie is simple to make and beyond tasty (it tastes a bit like vanilla milkshake!). I know you are thinking that Avos are savoury, but they really don’t have to be… Just try it and see. The great thing about this recipe is that it’s so nutrient dense and loaded with healthy fats that you will be satiated for hours – certainly enough to get you through the final match on Sunday! If you are lucky you may even start looking as radiant as a Brazilian Beauty if you drink enough…
